KINTSUGI

Collection 'Kintsura'

150 x 100 cm (+frame)

Available

Natalie Pleis’ newest collection, Kinstura, is deeply inspired by the philosophy of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. This series embraces the notion that beauty lies in imperfection, where cracks and fractures become focal points rather than flaws.

In Kinstura, Pleis masterfully transforms the concept of mending into an artistic exploration of resilience. Each piece is crafted with earthy pigments and textured materials, revealing layers of history within the artwork. Metallic accents, reminiscent of Kintsugi's golden seams, trace the contours of imperfections, symbolizing strength and renewal.

As her most recent and yet-to-be-announced collection, Kinstura invites us to reflect on the beauty that emerges from fragility and time. It speaks to the power of embracing life’s imperfections, allowing them to enhance rather than diminish.
